Interactive narrative project developed at the Centre for Digital Media. It explores the sets and characters of the best-sellers Jalna novels, written by Canadian author Mazo de la Roche (1879-1961). Settled on the rural shores of Lake Ontario, the books tell the story of the Whiteoak family, offering a unique overview of Canadian society in the 19th century. The project interconnects the narratives of three books and analyses the strong interactive narrative elements of the novels.
